'At a time when our world is beset by natural and man-made disaster Nina Joshi Ramsey really gets inside the psychology of disasters and the consequences that they wreak. It's a very human book and the proceeds are for a good cause. I recommend it.'

"...Halki si baarishein
Yunhi barasti rahegi
Betaabi chhaahat ki
Pyaasi tarasti rahegi
Dekho jugnuo ki

Story of Baarish in Lifewalla

Shama and the 515 crew released 'Baarish' in 2012. During the writing and editing of Lifewalla, the song played often in the background.
The lyrics of loss and undying, unconditional love were so touching, and the melody so moving, often the editing would seem to wait for the song. There was an uncocnsious couplling.
Soon, the lyrics started to relate to Dilkhush's own feelings for her lost daughter. With permission in 2014/15, some of the lyrics made their way into the book.
Around the October 2015 release of Lifewalla, Shama and the 515 crew pledged to donate 50% of the net proceeds of 'Baarish' sales in the upcoming year. It can be downloaded from itunes and other good music stores. Please support the cause and their generosity.
'Lifewalla is a story that touches your soul in unimaginable ways''
Sade Adeniran, Winner Commonwealth Prize Africa
'The vividness of the storytelling… felt like watching a film – which I am sure should be made'
Tessa Bell-Briggs, Film and Stage Actor
'Lifewalla [is] a very powerful and unusual story, well-told with a strong voice'
Maxine Linnell, Author
